Teaching

I’ve been teaching fulltime at Quinnipiac University since the fall of 2010. I primarily teach courses in broadcast news writing, television newscast producing, podcasting, television reporting and journalism ethics.

My courses include a mix of School of Communications required courses, journalism department required course, electives and graduate-level courses, and focus has been on skills-based courses that prepare students for jobs in the journalism industry.

This is especially apparent in my journalism capstone course, The QNN Newscast, where students rotate through the roles found in a TV newsroom to produce a newscast each week. Shows going back several years are posted here.

See below for a sample newscast shot with a 360 degree camera.
